Kossi A. Siwotso Legal Strategist
Kossi A. Siwotso is a graduate from the American University Washington College of Law. He also studied civil law in the Republic of Togo. Prior to working at Impact Legal Group, Mr. Siwotso was an associate at Leyruta, PLLC and a senior associate at the Thoronka Law Offices. As part of his law school work, Mr. Siwotso has participated in prestigious internship programs. Mr. Siwotso was a legal consultant with the World Bank Women Business and the Law project. He also served as a Summer Law volunteer at the Arlington Immigration Court in Virginia and was a law clerk at Legal Aid Justice Center. Mr. Siwotso is an avid advocate for immigrants rights. His approach to advocacy is influenced by his own background as an immigrant from an under resourced farming community in rural Togo, West Africa who fought his way through the challenges of adjusting to the American life.
Judith Naa Ode Stephens Associate
Judith N. Stephens believes that Immigrants' Rights are Human Rights. She earned both her Juris Doctorate and Masters in International Affairs degrees from the American University; Washington College of Law and School of International Service respectively. She worked with the International Justice Mission (Ghana Field Office) as a Legal Fellow, a System Reform Attorney and the Lead Attorney where she worked with Government stakeholders to fight against Human Trafficking in Ghana. She is currently focusing on Immigration Law in the United States and is committed to advocating for immigrants and educating them to make informed decisions. She is eligible to practise law in and is a member of good standing in the District of Columbia. She is also called to the bar of the Republic of Ghana.
Ogo Orizu Associate
Ogo O. Orizu is a graduate of Howard University School of Law. Prior to law school, he got his degree in Political Science and was a Senator in the Student Government Association. During law school, he developed an interest in immigration law due to the International Moot Court Team, which is a team that participates in international law competitions against other schools globally. He was elected Captain of the team and led the school to victory, all while sharpening his knowledge of immigration and human rights. Upon graduation, he started his legal career with the Federal Government through the coveted Legal Honors Program in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. After spending years mastering civil litigation, he went into criminal litigation as an Assistant State’s Attorney for the State of Maryland. After achieving his goal of becoming a well-rounded litigator, he channeled his talents to his original passion of immigration and international law. He is inspired by the idea of making a difference and pushing humanity forward. He is currently barred in the state of Maryland, with a bar score high enough to practice law in any jurisdiction in the United States.
